Delete your VectorClone account

You own your data. Deleting your account removes your profile and your uploaded content from VectorClone. Here are your options.

Option 1 — delete from inside the app (fastest)

  1. Open VectorClone on web, mobile, or desktop and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
  3. Type DELETE in the confirmation field and tap Confirm.
  4. Your session ends immediately. Account + content removal runs in the background and completes within a few minutes.

In-app deletion is available on every platform. No support ticket required.

Option 2 — request deletion from outside the app

If you can't sign in (forgotten password, lost device, account locked), email privacy@vectorclone.com from the address on the account. Include:

  • The email address (or Google / Apple sign-in address) on the account.
  • A short note confirming you'd like the account deleted.

We acknowledge requests within 1 business day and complete the deletion within 7 days. We may ask one verifying question if the email of record doesn't match the request sender.

What gets deleted

  • Your account row — email, display name, OAuth subject IDs (Google / Apple), password hash.
  • Uploaded source photos and videos — every file you ever uploaded for a face swap, talking avatar, or lip-sync render. Stored on Cloudflare R2; deletion is final and unrecoverable.
  • Rendered outputs — every image and video VectorClone generated for you.
  • Face Library entries — saved faces you set up for reuse.
  • Render history — the list of jobs you ran and their parameters.
  • Push notification token (if mobile push was enabled).

What we keep, and why

A few records are kept after account deletion. Each is the minimum required to meet a legal, tax, or operational obligation — and none of them can be linked back to you as a recognisable person once the account row is removed.

  • Payment records — anonymised payment + invoice rows (transaction amount, currency, provider, timestamp) are retained for 7 years per tax / accounting law. Personally identifiable fields are stripped at deletion time.
  • Email suppression record — your email address remains on a do-not-send list if you previously unsubscribed or hard-bounced, so we never email you again after the account is gone. This is industry standard and required by CAN-SPAM / GDPR.
  • Abuse / fraud signals— if your account was suspended for terms-of-service violations, the abuse flag (without your identity) is retained so the same actor can't re-register and re-offend.
  • Operational logs — request logs, rate-limit counters, and security audit trails are kept up to 90 days for incident investigation, then automatically purged.

Already cancelled but want to keep your account? Deleting your account is different from cancelling a paid plan. Cancel your plan from Billing to stop renewing without removing your data.
